Rattlesden Parish Council is an elected body that forms the ‘first tier’ of local government and is responsible for making decisions on behalf of the people in Rattlesden for the benefit and prosperity of the parish.

Rattlesden Parish Council usually meets on the last Tuesday of every month, except August and December, when there are no meetings. Meetings are held in Rattlesden Village Hall and begin, unless advertised otherwise, at 19.30. Members of the public are welcome to attend. Meeting dates/times can be found in the Events Calender

A meeting Agenda is published in advance and Minutes documenting proceedings shortly thereafter.

There are seven Councillors in Rattlesden, all of whom work on a voluntary basis for a four-year term. Councillors are supported by the Parish Clerk, who manages the Council’s finances and administration.
